Floyd's Rick Wright dies

Keyboardist Richard Wright, a founder member of Pink Floyd, has died aged 65 of cancer.

His quirky piano style and Syd Barrett's original songwriting was a key influence on the 60's psychedelic movement.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

It was a short battle against cancer.

A man somewhat unfairly overshadowed by the other talents in Pink Floyd, he created "Us and Them" and "The Great Gig in the Sky", both of which are classic Floyd tracks.

What a loss.

I remember buying all the Pink Floyd LP records many years ago and spending many hours enjoying listening to them. I still have them somewhere.
At the time I sort of just thought of the group as one entity and didn't look at the individuals, which was a big mistake.
Thank you Rick Wright for the great music and RIP.
For all the other members of Pink Floyd, I wish you a happy and long life, may you live till 120.
