RTE on a ksc 570

Discuss your wife's objections to the fifth dish going up or your concern that there's far too little violence on the box these days. You can also introduce yourself here or just chat about anything. Remember, no keys or files allowed.

My System: sky dish with quad lnb feeding a kaon ksc570 receiver
RTE on a ksc 570

;Hi, i have a ksc 570, i have all the free view channels, except rte1,2, tv3and tg4 seem to be encrypted. To view them I have to switch back to analogue and the reception is poor. Is there any codes or cards I can get so all will be on satellite. I don't want to subscribe to sky or chorus if at all possible. Thanks for reading

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

The RTE channels on satellite are NOT ftv - they are only available via a Sky subscription registered to an Irish address.

No codes of any kind for them, you either pay for a subs or you do without.

Yes, the terrestrial vhf/uhf signals are very poor in rural areas. Where I live we can only receive 3 of the 4-5 available terrestrial channels. When something goes wrong we are subject to viewing snowy channels for weeks or more.

Best of all, a local organisation goes around door to door collecting money to maintain the mast that provides the service . Neither the mast nor the quality of service are covered by your licence fee! At least not around here.

Even though you pay a licence fee, the channels might not be available to you, if this is the case and you choose to get them via satellite. You have to pay again
