OCO Satellite a total loss

NASA's $273million Orbiting Carbon Observatory has been declared a total loss after crashing into the sea off Antarctica.A failure to jettison a fairing after launch, which would have lead to a slight boost due to a lighter load, lead to it being unable to reach polar orbit Full story at NASA.GOV
