Director (and in many cases, writer) of some of the iconic US films of the 80's and 90's. Entertained adults and children alike. My favourite is probably Uncle Buck, but then it is rather difficult to pick only one when Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris Buellers Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Home Alone, and others are in the same list.
