My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Any idea why the Black Ultra is so hard to get hold of in the UK

I don't know.

They are very hard to find in the UK which I suspect adds to the LNB's mystique. It made me want one all the more. I bet they are selling in their millions to UK citizens via European suppliers. Clever bit of marketing that. lol

Robbo, just do a direct comparison with any other LNB based on C/N (how's your new Emitor by the way?). If you find another LNB that beats this I'd love to know.

I've not tried the twin so all my comments are based on the single. Inverto sell it as a fringe reception LNB... "This LNB is a high performance product featuring the lowest noise figure available to address the need for superior reception under the edges of the satellite footprint skirt." Etc, etc.

Here we also use a modified version of this LNB with an Invacom style feedhorn on prime focus dishes. Results are excellent. See attached photo.

My System: Echostar dsb-808 digital sat receiver with fixed dish and twin lnb

Should work well with my Fracarro 85 then. Just wish I could find someone to help me align it.

Grax in Manchester were very helpful.

That's an interesting modification Huevos. I would be interested to know how you attach the feedhorn to the LNBF (you obviously have to remove the feedhorn part of the LNB I assume.)

Hello!
why Inverto, does amplifies the signal itself, more like other brands Lnbbrands?
, this boost the signal it self but also the groundnoise, I wonder why it makes smw vice versa?
they may be achieved by ensuring a better frequence stability?

what you think,is "better"?

I used the same method a few years ago to improve reception at higher frequencies, simply slip a piece of fine aluminium tube down the throat of a standard LNB to give it wide band capability.

The C120 flange is a nice touch though.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Llew, here that is an off the shelf item. Looks like a C120 feedhorn but it bonded somehow, some sort of glue, not bolted. And the white cap is specially made too by the look of it. I've attached a few more pictures so you can have a closer look.

My System: 0.8W; 4.8E; 13E (90cm dish), 19.2E; 28.2E; 36E (110cm dish), DM 600 + HDD (120 GB)

I have this Inverto Ultra LNB, and it works perfect for me on 28E. No problems at all. With some previous LNB's I had some problems with weaker transponders from 28E.

Ah, I see. Thanks. Looks quite neat. Would like to see a C120 version to use with my SMW feedhorn.
