John Peel - Tribute Programme

BBC Two is to screen a tribute to legendary radio presenter John Peel this Saturday. 6th November

It will include friends and bands who he helped find stardom.

The show will celebrate the life of the popular DJ, who died last week. He suffered a heart attack whilst on holiday in Peru with his wife Sheila.

Meanwhile, the band behind his favourite single, the Undertones, have denied media reports they will re-releasing Teenage Kicks in tribute to him.

John Peel - Funeral

Fans of DJ John Peel will be able to pay their final respects as he is laid to rest near his home in Suffolk next week.

The funeral is to be held at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in Bury St Edmunds, on Friday, November 12.

The ceremony will be followed by a private service for family and friends of the late DJ.

His body was flown back to the UK on Monday night.
