My System: Samsung A300W with component output Hotbird & Astra2
Question Digital Camera - What is interpolated ?

MAX Resolution of 10 Mega Pixels (interpolation)
5.36 Mega Pixel Image Sensor

Can some one please help me what is the meaning of interpolated?

The chip inside the camera will only record the maximum number of pixels its surface can handle - in this case 5.36 million pixels.

The camera software then takes this information and creates more pixels using the information from the surounding pixels to create a 10 mega pixel file.

Basically, the picture will not be sharper, it only contain more pixels generated from the original 5.36 million.

Bit of a con really.

You can do this with most image editing software on your PC/Mac.
