Unfortunately Hmistry, nobody is going to sponsor someone they don't know onto a sister/brother forum, you need to prove yourself somewhere, prior to someone putting their reputation on the line for you.

How good is this thing then Rolf ? not being a memeber myself it all seems a bit cloak and dagger from an outsiders point of view. Has this always been the case or is it a damage limitation excercise in the current climate ?

It opens its membership sometimes, but in the last couple of years it has been closed most of the time, just the way they perefer to operate. Been a member myself for a couple of years according to the date on my profile, but I seem to remember having to rejoin just before that date.

My System: DreamBox 7000s - Nokia Freeview - Several GameBoys - DS Lite - ZX81 - SNES - N64 - Sega Saturn Dreamcast - PlayStation - Gamecube - PSP - iPod - iPhone - XBox - PS3 - Wii - No Life!

They did open membership earlier this year and I managed to join.

It is frustrating waiting- but I can understand why they do it.

When they open membership it is usually flagged up here so stick around and you may be lucky.

Haven't seen an option to sponsor anyone...
