Discuss your wife's objections to the fifth dish going up or your concern that there's far too little violence on the box these days. You can also introduce yourself here or just chat about anything. Remember, no keys or files allowed.

Has anybody used a home-made programmer (ie. JDM, or parralel port prommer) for the above mentioned chips with a laptop (portable) PC , like Compaq? If yes, can I have all relevant info about it, please?

Thanks

Hi
I,m not sure but I believe the Laptop should not be used with programmers because of voltage variations on the port.

My Compaq does not seem to provide enough current to the jdm interface . I also tried the battery (18V) version with no luck. As soon as I changed to my ancient 286, everything works fine.

What laptop are you using ?
