Angry What are the options to British Ch. for Britons Abroad?

I'm a British citizen living in the Middle East. As to my question, the only channels I know to be available in my area are: BBC world, BBC Prime, Sky News and Uk tv meridian.
Is there any others as the most of what is broadcasted in the above are not that much interesting to me at least.
Is there a way for getting BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting services) for the non military?

Cheers

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

It will also depend a lot on what size dish you can put up, there are a lot of English language channels, but many will require a dish of 2.4 metres or more.

Well you're right. My mistake, it is uktv Granada
For the dish size. that is no problem I can start with 3m and maybe more if that what it takes to get somewhat interesting British Channels.
I like the sort of stuff which is broadcasted in the UK BBCs and ITV: Home improvements, Documentaries, Gardening, My Family and the like.

The only program which I like and can have it here is TopGear on BBC World.
BBC Prime is not that consistent.

Hmm, I miss the
UK so much. Well, I'll come back this summer for my holiday.
cheers

My System: 90 cm dish + two LNB 13/19 E 90 cm dish + one LNB 30 W Humax 5400 .. Oh and cable for Mrs Marts (smilie here)

The independent UK TV companies missed the boat years back. The BBC were the first to go digital. They started by franchising out BBC Prime to the Swedish company Filmnet, since taken over by Canal+ France. At least you can catch Eastenders at only three days after being shown on the UK BBC network. Not so with Granada and Coronation Street ... 3 years old

Nothing wrong with Sky Italia's programming though. It's transponder footprint covers most of the Middle East
