David Beckham trail posted online

Fans of David Beckham are being offered the chance to trace his childhood steps using an internet trail.

Launched by London's Waltham Forest Council, The Beckham Way details the landmarks that moulded the early years of his life.

It begins at the Whipps Cross Hospital maternity wing and even includes his favourite childhood football pitch.

The trail also continues to Walthamstow Stadium where he worked for £10-a-night as a glass collector.

Other landmarks include Ainslie Wood, where his grandparents lived, Chingford School and Gilwell Park, where he went camping with the Cub Scouts.

The site can be visited at www.lbwf.gov.uk.
