My System: Technomate TMS-1500 CI+ "patched" receiver, 90cm p/f 36v motorised dish, Inverto C120 0.3db LNB, Moteck V-Box 2, Packard Bell 6052 XP Home computer, Toshiba A60 laptop, and lots of Russian Vodka ! | They used to have them in ball-rooms and they hang them above the dance floor and had lights reflected off them to different parts of the floor. Used to be a very nice lighting effect.

Well some excellent guesses so far..... ( spookily so ) But what would its purpose be outdoors? You can tell it is outdoors because of the blue sky around it! I'll let you know later on, meanwhile carry on guessing....

I'll put you all out of your misery. Most people were spot on although this version is slightly bigger Whilst most of the country was suffering from frost hail sleet and snow, I was walking from Lytham to Blackpool along the beach and spotted this by the promenade. It is purported to be the world's biggest dance hall mirror ball, measuring 20 feet across and has lazer lights bounced off it at night just for fun That is the "Big One" in the background it also has some claim to fame which I will never experience

| Spotting it from a few million miles away isnt the same as telling it to pick up the phone. Probable reasons are it landed slightly faster than expected it rolled into something that broke off the antenna a connection to the solar panels failed
