Alastair Stewart, 50, the host of ITV1 programme Police, Camera, Action has been arrested and charged with drink-driving.

He was arrested at his home in Bramdean, near Winchester, last night.

It followed an incident in which his Mercedes was in collision with a hedge.,

The father-of-four has been charged with drink-driving and bailed to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates on July 1.

I trust the police have also taken incident details from the hedge in question

Always helps in a fair trial
