Newbe on the block

Here I am newbe on the block and trying to break in the Satellite World of Technolgy. First off my equipment as of now is NONE ZERO NATA . I looking at buying as soon as possible. Looking at two types, one is the PC and the other is using the Reciever. I need a place were I can get all the info needed to make my choice, because I have no clue on any of this and how it relates . Can you help me out on this?? Of course I am open to ALL info on the programing choices also.

Well I thought it was the world of satellite technology but I suppose your slant on it may make sense to some. I suggest you either start reading the various forums by choosing from the drop down menu near the bottom of the page or have a look here for info on the encrytion methods with explanations. Happy reading
