Man proposes to stripper from club stage

A wealthy customer of a New York strip club is said to have proposed to one of the dancers from the club's stage.

The man, said to be an international securities trader, had been visiting the 21-year-old blonde for several weeks - spending hours with her every time he visited the Scores club.

He is reported to have given a DJ £600 to stop the music and a manager the same amount to let him on stage to pop the question in front of other customers.

He is said to have told the Romanian woman: "Hang up your gown, baby. You'll never have to work again."

The stripper accepted his proposal - and received a pair of Cartier diamond bracelets, says the New York Post.

The man is then said to have celebrated by spending £30,000 on champagne and caviar for everyone in the club
