It's April 1st !

almost, as I'm running a bit fast, oops!

If I want to post an April Fool item, then how to do it correctly?

After all, there's the International Dateline, where April 1st will still be just starting on one side, while simultaneously almost ending on the other side.

(here in UK, we're about in the middle, at 0 degrees Longitude!).

Dammit, how can I post at the correct Internet local time (without spending an entire day at exactly North or South pole)?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Fool\\\\\\'s_Day .

Oh well, it's now afternoon, here in UK. I didn't bother. Anyone spot the April Fool items?

Sorry, Lew, the Nectar site looks ok to me, but it's after 12am (added, er I mean noon!), a uk site, so maybe joke removed?

But check out ......... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_1%2C_2006 .

(That's extremely and unbelievably quick, but the few I checked (!) are correct!).

From there, here's a few good ones:

www.getdigital.de/index/0x10a .

www.starslipcrisis.com/ (this already gone!).

http://boakes.org/apple-ipod-space-advert .

www.opera.com/models/ .

www.slimdevices.com/au_press_kronos.html .

www.economist.com/science/displayStory.cfm?story_id=6740040 (my fave).

Of course, those above links will probably disappear in a few hours, this seems permanent but a bit "tasteless":
www.savetherennets.com/index.php

Aha! Thaks Llew, I did click-to-continue at Nectar, and it's still there.

Wifh techy stuff, it's difficult to think of something funny that won't also be confusing. I was thinking of maybe "wire sculpture" tv aerials, in the shapes of animals, "be the first in you street with this", etc. Trouble is, lots of people would immediately try to buy one!

re Nectar, there's that bit in Star Trek 4, where Scotty thinks the mouse is a microphone, and tries to talk to the computer with it, got a big laugh at the time ........

That article was posted on March 30th. So, it must be true

Mark.

P.S. Having just seen the latest Harry Potter on Blue-Ray Disc, I believe there are grounds to believe this article has grounds.
