I was wondering...

If someone had the right equipment & knowledge, could they take over a transponder on a satellite and broadcast a "pirate" satellite TV or radio show? I only ask cos I once had a dream where I managed to do it, albeit with something that looke like a trumpet and a sky digibox...

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2

Yes, it's entirely possible.

First though, you'd have to have a bald head, a 1:3 scale doppleganger and a frikkin "lazer" on your head.

I'd love to see Sky Sports knocked out by Greenpeace!

Didn't "Captain-something or other" do this exact thing to HBO back in the day?

Wow!!! Never knew about that!!!

And I'm not planning on any transmissions!!! I can't even get my old CB radio working, let alone hijack a satellite transponder (especially seeing how I only own reception equipment!!!!!)!!!
