Upside down Dish.

What can I say? After six months without satellite Television, I am back in business and able to enjoy 19 East.http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/clap.gif
Who do I have to Thank? none other than rolfr. This gentleman came out of his way this morning, Easter Sunday to help this old timer out and fit up my dish . Not only that, but he threw in twenty odd metres of cable and even changed my duff LNB for a decent one.

The unusual set up is that the LNB arm is at the top of the dish as opposed to being on the bottom. Sort of an Aussie setup.

Rolf spent a while photographing and admiring his handiwork......no doubt his pictures will be exhibited later on this evening.

It is a pleasure to be part of this forum and to have received such outstanding help. All that remains is for me to find some way of repaying such kindness.http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/bow.gif

Allan. One very happy Easter Bunnyhttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/happy%20easter.gif

There are several pictures of them in the pictures section wod, there is no real advantage to doing it, unless you have a space problem, require a lower dish profile, or as in this instance, want to keep the arm and LNb out of reach of prying fingers.

Another good reason to have a dish upside down is if you wish to have it as close to a window as possible (for indoor reception) - that feed arm would normally pose a problem, but if it's upside down there is no problem!

Ah, I see you have the little Technisat dish, I use one for my test dish, they really do punch above their weight.
