True.

Aldi, here, have a tie-in with Medion (the German equivalent to LG, I suppose)- so they generally have some decent boys-toys deals on PC's, flat panels, storage cards, etc.

Have Fun, Moo.

Same thing over here, but as GB says, no satellite stuff, just computers that end up on my repair bench where I work....

As anyone who has been around this site for long will know I am a fan of Lidl and Aldi.

I find the quality of a lot of item they sell to be as good as things sold elsewhere.

It must drive other shops mad when they can undercut them by at least a third. That's why you can find item fro these stores on sale on Ebay.

The DIY stuff is so cheap you can use it and throw it away!

It's the same as last year!!!

Although I think the dish is 85cm this year rather than 80cm, so may as well get myself one or two of them, and LNBs to go with them...

Although, I might get the receiver kit for the twin LNB & sell the kit (with a single LNB instead) on to my boss at where I work for their display Plasma & LCD TVs...

But definitely another dish....

I think your car looks funny too......

I've just picked up my 80 cm dish from Lidl along with 4 lnb's. I'm going to get a bracket and try to pick up 13e, 5e and any two others. Anyone know which other two sats i should aim for? Anyway once I've got it rigged up I'll tell you if the dish is any good, though do'nt hold your breath, diy is not my strong point, cheers mates

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

The dish looks OK, just had a look at them (not the best, but not bad), the brackets are a little lightweight for an 85cm dish though. The small dish kit is OK as well, there were only two left in the local store and needed carefully checking, as they had been opened and sifted through. I see several have already appeared on Ebay at £79.95.

Well, I'm impressed by the SL65, it's got Autoscan which (according tot he roughly translated instructions) scans for channels that are not preset in the receiver, and with my porty dish it's not too bad...

As for the dish, if it's meant to be 57cm, then why's it a lot smaller than my 60cm channel master?

Anyway, I've sifted through my kit and decided on what I'm keeping and what I'm selling. First of all, the receiver cos it's great, the twin LNB, aaaand nothing else, the rest is going on Ebay as if I kept the dish, that'd take me up to 7 dishes, and probably wouldn't get used....

But I'm amazed that they put a cheepy beepy earpiece sat finder with it though, my Porty kit from last year didn't have one which I thought it would do, but either way, my current sat finder's tonnes better...

Oh, I bought an LNB too to sell with the dish so it can be used by whoever buys it out of the box...

I think your car looks funny too......

I'll get some when I get home, it's not that impressive though, and no, didn't have the arms or money to get the 85cm, if I have some pennies in the bank tomorrow I'll nip into lidl and see if they have any left...

Did I say how tiny the SL-65 is? It's teeeeeeny weeeeeny!!!

It's much smaller than my Porty, and is just a bit wider than my Oggle freeview box, so I think my porty's heading for the cupboard....
