Congratulations to Finland, well deserved

I am certain next year will be populated by renditions similar to Lordi, but it does bring the show into the 21st century, about time.

This should be in the Sci Fi forum though, judging by the costumes.

The big 4 financial E-V contributors all finished in the bottom 10 again

France 21st 5 pts
Spain 20th 18 pts
UK 18th 25 pts
Germany 14th 36pts

All would be relegated if they didnt pay most of the running costs.

thought that music was 20th Century.

I have to say that I quite enjoy watching it, if only for the predictable geopolitical voting.

A defender of the Remote Control Brigade, Sir R can flick channels faster than a Robben dive

the voting need re thinking, in my opinion....

keeping the names of the performances secret and letting them perform under the stage name only would be better

then they wouldnt know what country they was voting for... would add some suspense to the finale too

any names leaked would mean that country would have to change the act!!!

that would stop all this "oh i only vote for my neighbour"

personally i thought sweden was the best act...

You have to say the UK and other western European acts are going to find it very difficult to do well in the future under the current voting system. There are now enough Balkan countries that blockvote for their neighbours. And the same for the old Soviet Bloc countries.

Whilst I was watching Eurovision last night I was also on the live chat. We had a very good strike rate for guessing who would get the douze punts from each country
