The story of print porn's rise and fall in popular culture is told in BBC Two's thee-part documentary Sex, Mags And Cyberspace, starting on Sunday, October 19. It takes a look at the Eighties and Nineties, when magazines such as Loaded promoted a laddish lifestyle that included porn but also beer and cars. Turning its attention to today, the programme shows how technology has sent the consumption of porn back underground, as consumers download straight from the net. With the mainly female porn stars now in control of their own sites and the means of publishing porn changed for ever. This first programme looks back to the changing attitude towards print porn, through the burgeoning empires of Hefner, Guccioni and Flint. | ||
