Smile Greeting from the USA

Hello to all from the US (Texas). Here, we have been without a working FTA bin for about 4 weeks now. On most of our forums, I keep reading that Europe has been without a working bin for 3 or 4 months. Is that true? I’m not seeing anything that indicates your FTA is not working.

Sometimes you don’t know what to believe, so I thought I would check with people that know. Thank you for your response.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

We use slightly different terminology and methods for our hobby viewing compared to the US and Canada, we also have many more potential packages.

Up until a month or so ago, we had five different packages which were accessible via different methods, but now we have very little, aside from a couple of commercial card solutions.

No that isn't really what I'm saying, as the situation is changing almost daily, for example, since making my first reply, the full Premiere package on 19.2 East is available on a Cerebro card. Outside of this, there is a huge card sharing community using single cards from several providers, the members of the group can view all subscription channels of the available cards in the group. OK not hacked, but very much cheaper.

No idea about those receivers I'm afraid, although it may work with one of these units.

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for all the great replies. It’s comforting to know we in the US are not alone during this down time. I’m thinking that it’s too much money out there to give up on a new encryption bin. High definition, newer, better FTA. Millions of dollars and euros all gone without a new bin. I’ll check in from time to time to see how everything is going for all of you. Until then, many thanks from the great state of Texas.

Your friend,
Wayne
