New Late Night Show

Revolver, a new rapid-fire sketch show, makes its BBC One debut on Tuesday, January 13, featuring a well-known array of television veterans.

The regular cast of comedians and entertainers include Julie Goodyear, Leslie Phillips, Honor Blackman, John Inman, Melvyn Hayes, Roy Barraclough, Ruth Madoc. Gordon Kaye, Stephen Lewis and Lionel Blair.

They are joined by special guests including comedian and impressionist Janet Brown, Rodney Bewes, Cannon & Ball and Anna Karan.

Written by Stephen Punt, Simon Blackwell and a number of others, the show mixes stand-alone sketches with a host of regular characters.

Julie Goodyear plays nosy neighbour Agnes who watches on as Daleks attack children in a surreal outside world, Leslie Phillips appears as the world's most unsuccessful safecracker while Mervyn Hayes is an inept and scatterbrained daytime chat-show host.

The series has been given a 23:05 slot.
