Fiber mesh or Aluminium?

Discuss your wife's objections to the fifth dish going up or your concern that there's far too little violence on the box these days. You can also introduce yourself here or just chat about anything. Remember, no keys or files allowed.

Fiber mesh or Aluminium?

I went to buy a large 1.3m dish today... but was told that a fibre mesh dish (SOMEHOW) recieves more signal than an Aluminium... Is this true? Or has everything i have been taught about satellite reception wrong? Surely a 1.3m Fibremesh and a 1.3m Aluminium recieve the same signal? Or does fibermesh refelect better?

Feliz Navidad a Satellites.co.uk!

My System: 1.2M, & 55cm Gregorian Dish`s, 1.8m Precision dish Jaeger 1224 H-H motor.Dreambox 800, Vbox-II. SS2 Card.

channel master dishes are fiberglass, and must have mesh in them somewhere to be able to deflect the signal. As you probably know there one of the best dish makes available(Andrews now).
