Should Police be 'done' for speeding?

Britain’s most senior policeman on traffic issues has been fined £500 for failing to identify the speeding driver of one of his force’s cars.

Meredydd Hughes, the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire, had to mount a prosecution against himself after the vehicle was captured travelling at 47 mph in a 40 mph area by a roadside camera.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Sounds like a waste of money to me, I have no objection to police cars speeding when needed to attend a crime or incident, if they drive recklessly or cause accidents, then that is another thing of course.

No-one with any sense is going to argue that if a car is running blue lights then of course it shouldnt be preosecuted. If its just a squad late for their lunch then throw the book at them .
