Angry stupid paypal thing

was browsing Ebay and clicked to buy an item and when going to pay through paypal

i cant use the bank transfer option and only have this echeque option which said would take 2 weeks

how stupid is this, my account has been working fine and now when i come to pay for an item which is only 10 pound i cant

anyone else had this ?

i've looked through the help section but it doesn't make sense

Why don't I see the Instant Bank Transfer option when I send money?
https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif
https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/help/help_a.gif For security and verification purposes, PayPal uses statistical models to identify unusual patterns of behavior when approving individual transactions - similar to how banks and credit card companies identify questionable account activities.

When a transaction is refused, it may be a result of unsafe activity detected in your account or a processing failure. You can still complete the transaction by using a backup funding option in your PayPal account.

If you are a PayPal member from Australia or the European Union, you cannot pay by Instant Bank Transfer from a US bank account.
so by that they think its fraud or something lol

i've emailed them but doubt i'll get a response and will get some bad feedback because i haven't paid on Ebay

the item was only a smart titanium lnb

They seem to have changed a couple of things, must check it out, as I occasionally buy things from the states and don't want to be caught out.

Did you try adding another card to your account and using that instead?

My System: 90cm Dish. Dual Lemon LNB for 13E/19E. Twin Output Lemon LNB for 28.8E. Samsung 9500 with 'alternative' firmware. Couple of DigiBoxes. Amateur Radio station. Going Bald with a patient wife!

Don't know if their servers have recently 'belched' but I had to re-input my bank account and card details - was genuine as I rang them and did the verify thing after I'd done a large transfer after selling a vehicle and being paypal-ed the full payment.

They were really helpful though - talked me through the process, etc, but I thought it strange I had to do it.

My System: Motorised dish, dvd players and recorders; a freeview box, broadband, VCRs, four TVs, mobiles, pcs, a mac, Ipod, digital cameras...the lot!

I used Ebay once and once only, to try and sell a domain name. I had heard it was a great, easy, and fun site to use. How WRONG I WAS.

I found Ebay a total rip-off.

I put my domain name on, and had to give my debit card details, to "help finalise any future purchases I would like to make". It didn't work out that way, the debit details were used to take my money!

The domain name didn't sell after two weeks but get this, Ebay charged me £40 for their "service". That was enough. I will never use that site again. I was totally f-ing annoyed. I work hard for my money and Ebay did do nothing to warrant thieving such an amount £40. A £5 edmin would be acceptable but still a minor rip-off.

But £40? Grrr...

Got stung by a fraudulent buyer last year.
After sending goods, (200 odd quids worth)Paypal clawed back the money.
(after I'd transferred it to my bank)
Been chasing me ever since to pay it back.
Suprise, suprise, I don't use paypal no more.
And they still ain't getting the money back.

Never ever EVER do this! Only sell things via paypal that you can send with online tracking - otherwise you leave yourself wide open against chargebacks and fraudulent 'item not received' claims.

My System: 3.7m & 1.8m Prodelin, 1.2m Andrew, Loads of receivers, Orbit & showtime & AFN.

I had problems with pay pal before i only ever use it for buying now not selling, Like the other post said unless you can send a item via a service with online tracking E.G royal mail special delivery, TNT, DHL, etc you can get screwed over if the buyer reports it as a not received item,

I only take payments now by cash , postal order, cheque, nochex, bank transfer,
