Lightbulb Radio Amateurs on the forum?

Just wonder how many there are licenced on here?

Seems a common thread that often satellite enthusiasts are radio amateur or vice-versa.

Been licenced since 1997 myself but doing 'hobby radio' since early 1980s including building transmitters, CB (as expected), 'other transmitting/receiving' and short wave listening and scanning.

Still enjoy my radio and about to start setting the station up here at the house after living here for a year plus got to get some put into the car and motorhome.

SWL as a hobby though.

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

Licensed since the early eighties as a G6 then as a G0 for the last 15 or so years

Not as active as I used to be (read - nearly inactive!) and only get the mobile stuff out now and ten for a Raynet operation.

To my shame my Trio TS430 has been in its cardboard box for at last 12 years now!

My System: comag sl65 (x3) Sad but I like them :-) comag porty II (camping) Pace Prima (analogue) Assortment of dishes. computer: HP Pavillion ze5700

My only foray is the old SW receiver that I take with me when I'm abroad.
That's only usually used to get UK radio stations though.
Did have a late uncle who was well into it. He was the one who gave me the receiver. I'm sure he virtually lived in his shed.

Please, not a shed, a shack.

My System: sky + TM 1500CI 31.5W - 39E

Used to have a scanner, really liked laying in bed going to sleep listening to the police (not illegal if you don't act upon it) but they have all gone tetra digital now so no chance listening to unless you have a friend thats lets you borrow his radio now and then, apparantly the new radios are really good to use but the police are having big problems with the signal though.
