How lucky are you

When I buy things I do a bit of research on the item and the company and it all seems to go tits up.
Buying satellite dishes seems to be an absolute disaster. I have now been screwed up by my 3rd supplier.
First one said he would ring me back later that day, that took 3 days so I blew him out.
The second had Trading Standards unleashed on him.
So I thought, OK get one from the super efficient and cheap Germans.
All arrived on time, but on assembling it the brackets in no way aligned with the dish. The bracket was for a really big dish not the 85cm I had ordered.
I suppose as it was a Gibertini the Italiens could be at fault.

My System: 90cm Dish. Dual Lemon LNB for 13E/19E. Twin Output Lemon LNB for 28.8E. Samsung 9500 with 'alternative' firmware. Couple of DigiBoxes. Amateur Radio station. Going Bald with a patient wife!

Tend to order my stuff like that from CPC or HB Litherlands as they been trading long enough and doubt will go bump tomorrow.

Yes I always start off with CPC, Farnell etc. but I hate paying more than I have to. Yes I now its worth it for no grief.
But being careful with my money the thought of a bargain overwhelms me.
When you find say a Triax 88cm dish for half the price of CPC you start looking harder.

Luck has changed. After an unhappy customer email the Germans have stumped up the right bits.
No explanation just a UPS tracking email.
I now have myself a nice new 90cm Gibertini dish, a bit of luck with the weather would be really pushing it though.
