My System: Dbox + Skystar2, 2.2m Kinhuge Dish with Inverto LNB and Invacom ADF-120 feedhorn. Pace 1.3.25 and 80cm for Sky.

Another solution would be to use a scooter / motorcycle (if you have to have independant travel).

That is an option for some but because I am on call I drive a 2 seater van full of tools and equipment, so the most I could take is one person and the only other person who in the same town as me at work lives the other side of town and it takes upwards of 30 minutes to get from mine to hers so how can that be practical?

As for the scooter, not even my Lambretta could cope with all that equipment, much as I may enjoy the ride.

With most people it is not they cannot be bothered it is not practical

Your situation may be different (I would categorize you as a service vehicle), but from my recollections most traffic jams consisted of single or at most dual occupancy cars, and cars with fat kids being chauffeured to school, with the odd poorly parked lorry unloading at the most inconvenient time.

Well that was highlighted last night on aprogram about global warming when they mentioned a women who drove her kids less than 1 mile to school with all that queueing and could have walked it there and back in half the time it took her.
