My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs  Saved us from the black plague of ignoratio elenchi, he awaits a special badge with jugs |
There I was being my usual congenial self (ahem) and checking out a request by someone on the forum and my ford anglia motor (that moves my dish) stopped working. Horrors, how could it, and how could I fix this. To cut a long story short, having a couple of days off this week I decided to see what had happened. Sure enough looks like (and smells like) the windings have burnt out, then I noticed a second spade connector on the side and though what is this, connected up and whey hey I'm up and running again, I was forgetting that the wiper motor was two speed and I was using the slow speed. Still I am going to get my thinking cap on and see what I can replace it with. | ||
