The Falkirk Wheel

Having lived all my life around canals I thought I had seen most things connected with canals locks, risers and more recently the new Millenium Ribble link that connects the River Ribble to the Lancaster canal but this Falkirk wheel is facinating yet simple in its concept

I was holidaying in scotland last year and visited the Falkirk wheel, it was a fantastic feat of engineering.

My System: 1200cc with 100,000,000,000 neurons and 100,000,000,000,000 connections

I saw it a couple years ago, it really is impressive, especially if you like canals and things. I think they also have a penny pressing machine where Falkirk wheel is pressed over a penny - which is always fun if canals and big machinery aren't your thing.
