The pilot looks like he knows what he's doing!

Teguciglapa (Honduras) airport has one of the most challenging approaches in the world.

Look how close the aircraft comes to the mountain, and then the road just before the runway (which looks like an aircraft carrier).

Then, look at how much of the runway he uses and what the crosswinds do. In addition, the runway is only 5,800 feet ..... the size of the Orange County airport.....and has a 1% downslope with a cliff at the end.

This airport is like the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong where you could look into the windows of high rise apartments on final.

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Yes, not sure whether I'd want to fly into that airport.
