just got my son a new xbox the basic one .do i get a memory card or a extra 50 pounds for a hard drive .apart from internet what use is the hard drive.some one told me some games need a hard drive is this true.many thanks.its a xbox 360

to play any xbox 1 games you need a hdd installed, somthing to do with the way the 360 emulates an xbox

if you ever decide to go on live, the hard drive is really handy. lots of great downloadble content to be had.

With a net connection he'll soon be able to download TV and film to the HDD. At the moment he can also copy music from CDs to it.
