Washed Nokia help "insert sim"

I have the cleanest nokia 6210 on the planet it has done 1 hour in the washing mashine....
It was tured on when it went in and off when it came out, I have dried it out and the sim card works in another phone as does the memory card the phone powers up ok but says insert sim card even tho the sim card is correctly inserted.
Is there anything I can do to save this phone a software re-boot maybe ?
Does anyone know ?

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

In my experience a dunking is only survivable if the phone is off when it goes swimming.

If its on then the phone is invaribly wrecked when it dries out....

My System: Technomate TMS-1500 CI+ "patched" receiver, 90cm p/f 36v motorised dish, Inverto C120 0.3db LNB, Moteck V-Box 2, Packard Bell 6052 XP Home computer, Toshiba A60 laptop, and lots of Russian Vodka !

Have heard reports of the Nokia 6210 surviving the washing machine test before, but don't know if they were switched on at the time.

Leave for a couple of day's to dry out and try it again, if no good you can alway's pick one up from e-bay for about £15 - £20, that's were I got mine.
