My System: Multiroom Sky Motorised system
Multiswitch Query. 2 satellite inputs

Hi,

I am thinking about buying a Technisat 9/8 multiswitch (or similar), i.e. 2 satellite inputs via quattro lnbs and 8 outputs.

I intend to point one dish at Astra 2A (28.2E) and one dish at Hotbird (13E)

I want to be able to connect 4 Sky+ receivers to 6 of the outputs and my Topfield reciever the other two outputs.

I'm assuming the multiswitch selects the dish to use based on Diseqc tones. Could someone confirm?

Also will the Sky+ boxes which don't generate Diseqc tones be automatically routed to dish one in the absence of a diseqc tone?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Yes the Sky digiboxes should be OK as long as Astra 28.2 is on port A.
