My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

Just to confirm...

Your Digibox is in one room normally connected to the main TV by the TV aerial lead and the magic eye is in another room where the 2nd output from the Digibox goes through the eye before going into the second TV. When you add a scart lead to the Digibox to connect it to the main TV the eye in the second room stops relaying channel changing information back to the Digibox?

The magic eye should keep working regardless of what method you use to connect the main TV to the Digibox. It's important to always use the second aerial output of the Digibox for the second TV as the magic eye won't work on the first aerial output.

I can only think that Digibox is faulty, perhaps something wrong with the internal power supply that is just at the limit of its capabilities. Just guessing about this really. Is there another Digibox you could borrow that is working with a remote eye elsewhere?
