My System: Motorised setup 68cm penta digit 45e - 30w |
Hi Someone has been in the loft of my appartment block i am only there for 6 months of the year and i live the other six months in london, however last time i came there was no TDT reception this his because the head amp needed upgrading to allow the DTV transmission, now someone has changed the whole system and has put up a new aerial and two small satellite dishes one for 19.2e and the other is for 30W. i have taken some photos and i want to know how the satellite one works. does it use the UHF cable already going down the line ? or would i have to take a new cable down? well i am happy they never got rid of my 1.2 meter for 28.2e

Blog Entries: 5 My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Spectrum analyser. | Not sure how it's distributed after the units you show, but I would guess through a series of taps or a bank of splitters. The second picture shows the channelised terrestrial amplifiers which are fairly straightforward, but not sure of the satellite/IF system, have never used anything like that, it appears to be a SMATV system, distributing a few satellite channels as UHF channels. These would pass along normal infrastructure coax. We have a few system installers here who will know more about it and I'm sure pass comment on what a crappy installation it is as well.
