My System: sky satilite and several computers...make that 5 diff computers!
Question Multi splitter

Ok I am really new at this...I have sky satilite (or rather will have) coming into my house in Germany from a single LNB and would like to have the signal split so I can watch different channels on 3 different tvs. What do I need to set this up. it is a single satilite LNB. Hopefully I will also have SKY+HD on one of those tvs. The other tvs are jsut regular sets. Is it possible to set this up? I think I need a reciever on each system...is this correct? And the reciever on the plasma tv needs to be a HD reciever correct?

Can you please talk me through this in baby steps? Like you were talking to a two year old! LOL Sorry. But thank you.

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

You imply you don't yet have Sky, but I'm not quite sure whether the Dish and LNB are already there and you are just asking about Receivers, or whether you are starting entirely from scratch.

Either way, the only way to achieve what you want is to ensure that the LNB has four separate outputs (A Quad LNB) as each Tuner requires its own feed. That's two feeds for a Sky+ box and one each for normal boxes.

This is because the boxes send switching signals back to the LNB and you therefore can't use a single LNB as there will be conflicts.

Also, can you please narrow down your location for us, as this potentially has a bearing on what size Dish you'll need for best results.
