Hi Machno, I'm in Bilbao way up on Atlantic coast so everything comes in on Astra 2 no problem with 90cm dish. Some people here even use an 80cm dish! As for Alicante I have no idea what dish size would be required....possibly something considerably larger than 90cm. By the way have you managed to sort channels on your 9500hd in any usable way?

Hello Richhy - You are well up in northern Spain then - must have been
there approx 40 times in recent years - going to Torremolinos on 8th June for 10 days - usually come to Spain 4 times a year.
I am not having any problems with my 9500 Nanoxx at all.
Simply manual input feeds i want then they are in automatic search before i start.
One thing that i have found that is its better to do your satellites one by one with the satellite with the least on 1st and leave sats like 13 degrees till last.
I only use it for 13 east to 30 west as i have some trees in way and have a fixed dish on Astra2.
No receiver has every channel and feed on to start with so you need to input some and its quite simple when you get the hang of things with the Nanoxx 9500 hd.
If you have any problems i am sure we can sort them out together.
Are you on Windows Live with a webcam?
Once you are set up you can talk to each other and video and its free so get yourself set up. I use mine everyday to talk to people worldwide as i have a website - Have a look -

Further news on Nanoxx 9500 hd
Making good progress with the receiver as now i have added a
external 500g hard disk which you can record via usb to the receiver
with no loss of picture - no need to use pc and you can update via ethernet to the nanoxx site.

Ethernet is for connecting to their interernet site for updates -much better than over the air and via computer.

Off on holiday now -anything else will have to wait till after 19 th June

Card Sharing

Am I right in thinking that this box can connect to NanoXX's server for its updates?
Also, are all patches done from their server too?
Just a newbie but was wondering if the cardsharing server actually works...

cheers m8

Go back to my topic "Misinformed" and watch the video by "Dr Dish"
and you will see the topic "Multimedia - Ethernet"
Don't know anything about patches as yet -very early as the receiver is
new. Anything else - just post

You can connect to the internet site of Nanoxx for updates - there is also a facility to connect to other sites but to do so i guess you would have to pay as a code number is required

That patch is for opening some packages if you have proper keys. It accepts Vantage softcams which can be found on a number of uploads. You may also input keys using remote. I also got email that server started from which you can update softcam using ethernet. I have just two problems with that-- lack of time for experiments and feeling that it will be shorter to find proper keys and input manually than to deal with cables, connection to find out that softcam contains some outdated keys which would result in necessity of inputting them manually

Has anybody tried to load software to receiver via RS232 port? If so then what program makes it possible?

Why use Rs232 when you can go direct to website and install via
ethernet with new updates plus old one if you make mistake - simple as ABC

I am very pleased with mine as i do a lot of recording via USB external hard disk - picture quality is great -10,000 channels and high definition - its only 3/4 size of my Humax 2000 hd. If i had to sell one it would definately be the Humax

Nanoxx is sometimes late with softwares so you can load ( via RS232) soft from Globo ( this I tried and worked) and from Vantage 7100 ( and with that I still have unsolved problem)
