My System: NSS6 DTH (FTA)

In the website, www.ddindia.com, they have specified about the new frequencies for TP and Symbol rate along with polarization for the migration from NSS-6 to INSAT-4B from June 1st, 2007. But what will be the LNB frequency for the new satellite (previous values are 10600 and 09750 )

there wont be any change in LNB setting

There won't be any change in LNB frequency settings as it is a Universal LNB setting.

User have to do only following:
1) turn the dish 1.5 degree's (azimuth) and even i think they have to change the angle at which dish is pointing towards sky (elevation).
2) Next thing is enter the previous thread specified 5 transponder frequencies and tune to new signal.

Dear Mr. Raj,
Turning the dish 1.5 degree's (azimuth) means turning it clock wise or anti-clockwise ?

I am using Calvin DTH Set-top box and antenna for viewing DD's FTA programmes. Can I use a Set-top box with a card facility for viewing specific channels alone (For eg. Ten Sports alone) ? Is a set-top box available with inserting card facility (prepaid card for viewing a specific channel) ?

"To get the signals from the new satellite, each antenna has to be rotated (with the person standing behind the dish antenna) clockwise by 1.5 degree to the right and tilted up by 1.5 degree.

Thanks for your valuable information. Yes, there is no need to turn the dish for getting Signals from INSAT-4B. Just by using the AUTO SCAN option in my DTH system, I can view the channel DSNG BHOPAL I did not change the dish position. But is that signal from INSAT-4B or NSS-6 ? Can anyone confirm ?

It is not at all needed. From the existing position we can get the transmission from INSAT-4B

Dear, in digital transmission, sound and picture quality does not depend on the satellite. It depends on the compression used by the DTH operator. Be assured, INSAT 4B EIRP (transmission power) in India will be at par with(if not better than) NSS6 EIRP. Why do we doubt our own abilities and think that foreign things are always better?

Can anyone inform whether the new channel DSNG BHOPAL is originating from NSS6 or INSAT4B ? Bcos, I am able to view this new channel, without changing my dish position, just after using the AUTO SEARCH option in my DTH system.

it is from 4B.......may be we don't need to adjust the dish...like our friends said inthe earlier posts....it is good for everyone....only thing is % of signal strength matters.
