% Dosent make much diffrence, current nss6 is 85% and insat 4b is 75% on 90cm, if you have 60 cm it would be 65%. No need to worry any body.

Every body, Who are trying to hook up to insat, Signal is comming and going, Try regular times you can get it. Yersteday morning it was ok, and night time signal gone, and today morning its ok.

Dont worry they are under testing and we are under testing , Right.

Normally with a 60Cm dish, what is the recommonded signal strength ?

Harish, I think this will largly depand upon the size and shape of the disk being used..using the same disk I am not getting good enough signal but I am sure that with bit big disk or elliptical disk it may be possibel to get the singal from 4B at the same position. Isn't it??

for everybody who are interested please note,
insat4b at 93.5*E:azimuth=119.38*
elevation=63.62*
nss6 at 95*E: azimuth=117.45*
elevation=62.13*
further,
elevation=angle of the lnb line to the base line (at the center of the dish plate)
azimuth=angle measured from the geographical north line in clockwise direction,ie sweep angle from the north south line in clock wise direction(geographical north and magnetic north are almost the same in south india and it is 22* at the pole)
the above measurement are for mangalore,s.india and may vary slightly for other places,if anybody im me their longitudinal angle or simply give their exact address then i can calculate those angles for them and will send to their address.
i have not yet tried insat4b but i hope i will be able to get both sats in a single lnb,will clarify later when i tries and it-bye everybody

Can somebody from Kerala (Northern Kerala) check it out?As I have checked it with my 60cm dish hooked to NSS 6 I couldn't track this IP.

Some time signal is down, Most of the time in night time, its better if you try in day time bro...! Ill update you soon...!

can any body let me know that if they received insat 4 b signals in middle east becoz iam in doha qatar and i tried receiving the signal with 165 cm dish but could not get it

i have adjusted my 120cms prime focus stamped metallic dish to inbetween insat4b and nss6. i am getting signal strength, weekest in nss6 is playtv40% and ddnews in insat4b is 60%.but during night they switches off insat4b.i think with60cms offset parabolic dish one can catch both with enough strength.pals try youself and report to this forum,bye

Bro try in on NSS 6 , Both signals are good . And since last one day there is no signal from insat 4b . Let the Transmission start then tune it.

it is only one test tp available at 93.5
10990V 4250
if you have your dish at 95 degree east,then no need to change your dish position and scan this tp you will get dd news

On 1 June 2007 onward you will gate all channel of dd direct plus on 93.5 degree east

I think DD started transmitting all channels in one transponder

Yesterday night i got many channels in 10990 v as given
D National
DD News
DD Sports
DD India
DD Bharati
DD Bangla
DD Chandana Kannada
DD Gujarati
DD Kashmir
DD Lok Sabha
-R- AIR Vividh Bharati
-R- AIR Telugu
-R- AIR Marathi
-R- AIR Tamil

Getting both nss6 and ins4b depends on how your dish is setup. For example if your dish is setup for maximum signal of nss6 (65 cm dish), then you may not get ins4b. Yesterday night i tested it.

Hi hareesh i am from south kerala Thiruvalla, i get the insat 4b signals with my 60 dish with the following details
LNB Frequency -- 10750
22k --- Off
Frquency ----- 11990
S/R ---- 4250
Pol ---- Vertical.

But the Signal is not constant, only one time i get this.
Pleas try with this parameters.

No one can the answer what the LNB frequency is ?
in the ddnews.com/dth they said that the lnb frequency is Universal
But in some local receivers we can't set the universal lnb directly
Please use this parameters to get the signals from Insat 4B

LNB Frequency -- 10750
22k --- Off
Frequency * ----- 11990
S/R ---- 4250
Pol ---- Vertical.

* Please not the frequency used.
You will get the signals with these parameters.

Its strange to see the TP May be a testing one only.
Whether You have adjusted the dish or in the existing position pointed to NSS6? What was the quality and level?
Since there is no continuous transmission,I have decided to change the dish direction next week only.

What have you done? It was V only?
Have you made some change in the LNB parameters and with the same setting do you receive NSS6?

-what was the symbol rate recorded at that time in your receiver?pl.quote 'cause non-auto receivers requires those parameters manually given to them.
