Paul

C-band is relatively easy with any medium (1.8 - 3m) dish.

Ku band reception relies on accuracy of the reflector and the dish quality.

Turok i am sure that no private person would invest 22000€ for a motor. It's cheaper to buy a new dish with all the needed features. I wouldn't say at all that the dish is useless. At least one difficult to get position will be worth it to leave it there fixed and this needn't be 28.2E.
