what motor is the dish on as it looks like you got the elevation actuator , something like the 1224 el motor ?

that dish looks massive, i only have the 90cm size channel master and it still looks massive but the 1.2 is very large

yes m8 1224 motor with orbit tracking and had a bracket made did not like the way it came with the dish set up.
makes life a lot easier with the orbit tracking too.

i just bought the standard 1224 as i thought the orbit tracking would be useless on my small 90cm antenna and plus it was cheap at 85 quid compared to what uk websites was selling it for

how far east and west can you go, as i think you get limited with the orbit tracking motor to the west is it ?

You don't need orbit tracking if you aren't tracking inclined orbit satellites.

If you installed the motor correctly you should peak all satellites at max signal level.

An elevation motor only comes usable when you have dish of 3 meter or above as the beamwidth is so narrow and the ground is moving a bit which makes it necessary

that is true prodelin but it does make life easier on some birds to peak the transponder just that little more.
i have had a bracket made so it does not affect the move of the dish east or west plus you can extend the limits when you move the limits in the motor.
