I like that .. tidy job... got one to do that would be far better mid roof. Does it anchor on brick or wood?

Done a couple using through roof mounts, very solid anchor to the A frame, works well.

very nice install, is that a gibertini dish ?

on these through the roof mounts are they strong enough for a motorised dish ?

Depends on the joists wod, but most will be, you can always bolster the timber work inside if you are in doubt.

I did one recently with a 1.1m Triax on a Moteck, tucked away at the back of a house, bigger than I'd recommend on the Moteck, but it was customer's own kit. Still there several years later.

A little, but not to the degree where it was drawing too much current, it was sheltered from the wind, otherwise t may have struggled more.

yes but was thinking more of a channel master on a 1224 with 3 inch pole.

through the roof would be too much due to the weight ?

I would say so with that size dish and weight

It will depend purely on the size of the roof timber, but could still be strengthened.

It's on a 10ft long 2" pole anchored to the roof trusses, it's a one metre dish from Sat Solutions that we use, and is solid as a rock, it's fixed in two places in the roof space.

In 20 years of installing this was the first oner I had ever done like this so was very wary of it being stable enough to withstand the elements, I needn't have worried as it is solid, and I would certainly do another one if the circumstances dictated it.
