My ASC 1.2M 1224 Supermount Setup

Hi All,

This is my ASC 1.2 on a 1224 supermount in my back garden which isnt in the best of states but it's all a work in progress i put the slabs down myself and did everything myself the dish tracks from 34.5W before hitting the fence To 62.0E i've tried 68.5 but its pointing at the ground lol guess the dish needs to be higher up alot higher!!. West by the way is towards the house East towards the far fence in the 1st pic so not bad considering.

That's all connected to my IPBOX 9000 with Twin DVC S2 Tuners 300GB Reciever

what is the quality like of the ground stand, are they solid when bolted up as the fully welded ones are very expensive

Hi Wod,

THe ground mount cost me 60 pounds from a website who's name now eludes me it's bolted down to the slabs. And it is rock solid it isn't going anyway i've had strong winds i've rocked on it and it's not moved. Well worth the 60 pounds.

On nilesat i get all the verticals well most of them the strange thing was when it was snowing alot on the morning after i.e the first pic i tried nilesat must have been the very cold air but was getting alot more channels then i would normally get time was around 6am.

I was surprised i get any of west to be honest as lower down in the picture my house gets in the way.

7w is better very early in the morning and the cold + clear $ky demonstrates cooling the LNB theory ...

I think the best setup is a bigger dish on the ground ... and a small dish high up on a diseqc motor to get deep east/ west.
