The Samsung Viasat Receiver

So today I got my receiver from Sweden for the FreeTV Package in Sweden (I have posted about it in the viasat section)

So now I will share some images with you of the functionality and performance.

The software allows you to choose what language you want to use, By default it is set to English.

The EPG system (which isnt great) uses the OpenTV system.

The first picture is the actual receiver (silver not black).

The Second image is the "No signal" screen, Third is the OSD-EPG on TV6. Picture 4 is the Radio screen followed by the actual OpenTV EPG and picture 6 is subtitles enabled on the receiever.

Last but not least: A VIDEO!

If anyone wants pictures of something else then please just ask!

Nice one Ian. Thats a nice looking receiver, although the remote looks a bit cheap and nasty.

Can you give us an idea of the "FTV channel list" available on the box

It's also worth noting that I was able to get the reciever to work via a diseqc switch for 19.2 but the tuner in the receiever is pretty bad as I get 92% from 19.2 and about 30-40% from the sirius nordic beam

Pics below.

Theres new youtube link since youtube deleted my account.

Since Viasat is all around the nordic and baltic countries you can get any sub from their countries and they all work on this receiver.

For a Viasat Estonia sub with all channels covered by it, it is £7 a month.

All the channels you can receive are attached in a attachment.

NOTE: As of yet I do not have a sub and I am using it as a FTV Sweden receiever

Tradera (Swedish Ebay)

I woke up today and found the box updating itself so here are new captures of the software and upgrades I found it provided.

The favorite screen now has a organize button and channel numbers continue instead of being 1,3,5 etc.

Signal quality screen updated.

Caps below
