Penta 68 Motorised Seup

Hello all

Thought I'd post a few piccies. Very pleased with this setup. Got a sky dish on the side of the house anyway, so this is just a toy for the footy...

It had to be a neat install - as grief was gotten before it even went up. So a small dish and cut down brackets were used. I think it looks really neat - especially with all the cables running down the inside of the garage and in to the house!

A bit of an odd one with the last pic... we were not picking up certain sat's, but seemed to be close. So I went and just nudged the bottom of the dish outwards by a few mm. It immediatley picked up a much stronger signal, and locked onto a few new sats. So obviously we tried altering the whole dish, but that did not increase the signal any. So getting the strongest signal possible then fitting the piece of plastic below to nudge the bottom of the dish was the only way we could get certain sats.

Thought I'd post pics as I recieved help from this forum in ordering the bits. Highly recommend the Penta.

Many Thanks...

Yes this was the one that I picked up by nudging the dish bottom out. Went from no lock to 70% quality (average).

Very neat install.

Shouldn't need the plastic, mis-alignment somewhere, for another day maybe

W2 doesn't perform well on the 68cm version but excellent on the 85cm

Sorry I'm getting myself confused - its all still pretty new to me. My mate who did the majority of the setup just informed me that 16e was OK anyway, but the plastic was needed to get the 26e verticals.

The FR penta dishes perform very well. The DIGIT 68cm version doesn't perform as well as the 85cm for obvious reasons; noticeable on some transponders on 16e.
Re: the plastic piece, either the dish is slightly warped or there is some mis-alignment within the setup somewhere.

Lots of info on both penta versions in receiver & systems section
