Found this picture of my old (first!) dish back in 2005, mounted on an old wooden (rotten) weather station post in my parents garden before I moved out. Thought I'd share

The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue

Nothing wrong with that - a nice basic install that anyone could copy if they wanted to join our wonderful hobby for minimal cost

Or failing that.. my first first dish.. (which got too bent to use after a while, and was thus replaced by minidish)

Oh dear that one does look at little the worse for wear doesnt it?

I started off with a 60 cm dish on 3 bricks (or a snowdrift in the winter a couple of times! Ive got a picture somewhere of the dish perched in a snowdrift whilst searching for Anatolia 1 at 50E in
