It's been a few years since I installed a multi sat.

Thought I'd better get some pics of my new setup posted.
I could have gone the T&K route on the chimney breast, but as it is a quite exposed location, thought it would be better to sneak a look over the top of it.
The dish is parked on 1W Thor in these photos. I could pick up 53W before I put the guy wires up, but as there isn't much past 30W, decided that a stable dish was preferable. You can almost see the eastern horizon in the pics, no problem looking that way.
The feed is split via diseqc switch, and I've got an old 60cm astra dish from the 80's looking at 28.2E.
Mounting to the railing was easy enough, I simply clamped to the top of it. Getting it level was a breeze, after I made the adjustable brace for it. The guy wires do nothing more than brace the whole shebang for extra stability, as it did twist the post in high winds.

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

Nice setup. You are in the enviable position of being right near to the coast, so line of sight issues are minimal.

Hows Nilesat from there? should be prettty good on the TD110.

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

jealous of that view and roof as I'd have a flat roof mount and channel master dish up there

you'd get away with a nice 1.2m up there as nobody would see it

Thanks for your comments guys
Yup, line of sight not really an issue. I will be taking the western guy rope off at some point, or modding it, and looking past 53W, that is of course, if there is anything worth looking at? Any pointers?
Nilesat doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm still doing a lot of reading, and notice that some have issues picking up nilesat. I'm getting dozens of channels, if not hundreds? I'll see if I can make some sort of list.
I'd considered using a flat roof mount as well, but when we get some bamboo/reed screening around the roof patio, it will hide the dish nicely from that side You'd be surprised Wod, as you walk down the road towards our place, the dish sticks out like the balls on a bulldog !
I'll get a photo. So far, no complaints

I checked nilesat last night.
I'm getting 168 channels, all on the vertical transponders.
I did notice while scanning, that I am seeing a 45% ish signal from some of the horizontals. It was windy, and the dish would have been moving about a bit I'm sure. I will have a go at tweaking it with the meter, and seeing if I can get it stable. The problem is, I'm sure I'm getting interference from 8W. One of the horizontal transponders that seemed stronger was 11.766.
I'll report back.
