DAB antenna should be vertically polarised, that's a horizontally polarised FM antenna, but at the end of the day if you receive all that you need then it'll do. | ||

That install will twist in the winter gales and it will break the ties eventually. Im surprised you get such good dab reception off it - those circular dipoles are pretty poor performers. | ||

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos there's no room for dishes here... :( The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken! | And I thought strapping a small TV aerial to a pair of Kirby extension hoses and then onto my bed with zip-ties looked daft!!! Is that a cistern/tank overflow? If it is, and for whatever reason it starts flowin', your aerial's going to get pretty wet!!!  | ||

You might also get water running down the inside of your cable into your receiver! | ||

To get DAB from three different counties it shouldn't be directional in any plane, so it's fine as it stands- horizontal works. I would normally question the colour choice of cable, but then you are on a budget. | |||

What I was trying to ask was if he had tried fitting it that way in the first place and for some reason had not done so. Unfortunately, my question did not come out quite the way I had intended it to, so it looked like I was suggesting the same thing that Rolfe had. Sorry Rolfe, no intention to steal your idea. Crumbs you lot are behind the times. we have a big grey one (re-recyclable waste) a big brown one (garden waste every two weeks) and a small purple one other (every week), nobody can put their cars in the garages now as the bins take up too much room | |||

Our bin setup is Grey for unrecyclables, Green for garden waste, Brown, when they arrive, for recycling (plastics, glass and tins), and the boxes for cardboard and paper, they alternate every week, so it's grey bins one week, then recyclables the next... It's amazing we can fit all these blummin things in the back yard, it's tight enough for space as it is out there!!! Next we'll be running out own waste processing sites I bet (already got the compost going!!!)... | |||

Plastic bags for our paper, card, tins, plastic etc. Garden waste goes up the allotment into the compost bins there. Bottles still have to be lugged down to the bottle banks in town. | ||

Here in the wilds of rural France, we have to take our non recycleable rubbish to a communal bin about 500 metres from the house, on the road to our village. Our recycling has to be put in the car and taken down to our recycling bins in the village, handily placed next to the cemetery!! (think we might have gone a little off topic here!) Pete | ||
